Presenter: Jessica Haycraft, MS, RDN, LD, CDM, CFPP, Oak Hills Living Center

Audience: Senior Living

Certified Dietary Managers play a vital role in ensuring nutrition care is accurately reflected in both resident outcomes and facility reimbursement. This session is designed to help CDMs understand how their daily practices directly impact success under the Patient-Driven Payment Model (PDPM).

Participants will learn how nutrition-related factors—such as weight changes, intake patterns, therapeutic diets, and nutrition interventions—contribute to PDPM classification and reimbursement. The session will emphasize the importance of clear, consistent documentation and effective communication with dietitians, nursing, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure resident needs are properly captured.

Through practical examples, attendees will gain strategies to recognize documentation opportunities, avoid common pitfalls, and support compliance while contributing to financial accuracy. CDMs will leave with actionable tools to strengthen their role in both quality care and the reimbursement process.
